Tropical mango banana smoothie
I woke up to a dark and rainy sky today and it has been raining intermittently since this morning. We initially planned to go out for brunch but the ripening mangoes and bananas on my fruit basket wanted me to stay back and do something with them. I decided to prepare some tropical smoothie to take care of both - weather, and the excess produce at home! I love preparing smoothies, simple because they are easy, healthy and delicious, if one manages to combine the right things in the right proportion.
My husband and brother loved the recipe, and since I had predicted so, I prepared double batches for them. Looks like the sun is back and I should head out to the farmer's market. Happy Saturday everyone!
Serves: 4
Time to prepare: 10 minutes
Ingredients
- 1 ripe mango
- 2 ripe bananas
- 1.5 cup of Greek yoghurt (one can always use any variant of yoghurt)
- 1.5 cup of almond milk (or any milk at hand)
- 2 tablespoons of cocoa nibs (substitute with cocoa powder or even dark chocolate, whatever is handy)
Method
- Add all the ingredients into a blender and blend until the cocoa nibs are fairly broken down
- Cheers!
